About
Welcome to Fly Tying Zone! I'm Dave Hise, a passionate fly tier, angler, guide, and content creator dedicated to pushing the boundaries of realistic and innovative fly design. From quasi-realistic caddis pupae and larva patterns to swimming mice and other custom creations, my goal is to develop flies that not only look incredible in the vise but also consistently fool fish on the water.
Through videos, tutorials, and live streams, I share techniques, materials, and ideas that help fellow fly tyers improve their skills and explore new possibilities. Every design featured here is inspired by countless hours of observation, experimentation, and time spent chasing trout and other gamefish.
Thank you for supporting Fly Tying Zone. Your support helps me continue creating educational content, developing new patterns, and sharing my passion for fly fishing with anglers around the world.
Tie. Learn. Fish. Repeat. 🎣
